Get Gnod!

This is the sort of thing that makes me all shivery inside ;-)

Gnod.net is an artificial intelligence system that self adapts to learn based on the input it receives from the outside world. It calls itself a "search engine for things you don't know about yet" and suggests new information to you based on what you tell it you already like. Sure, this isn't entirely a new concept - heck, I was working in the field of "one to one preference matching technology" 5 years ago! But, I like how this works, its elegant simplicity - and accuracy. Use it to find new authors, new music, and new movies, based on what you already love. Have fun!

It's the weekend... snuggle up with a new book. Visit Gnod.net

What are they buying?

Just came across this useful and interesting resource for you e-tailers and e-marketers out there. Right there at the domain we all wish we thought to register in 1996, Shopping.com, they provide a weekly report of the top shopping searches, and the most popular products in various categories. You click down one link to see the top products in over a 100 categories. I can think of a couple ways this can be useful in marketing research, not to mention a keen way to keep tabs on what the rest of humanity thinks is hot this week.
