We We Monitor

Marketing types (like me) will tell you that one of the important rules of writing marketing content is that it NOT be about you and your business, but predominantly about the customer or prospective client. Or as they always say, answer the question "what's in it for me?" for the customer. So, this is pretty cool - it's called the We We Monitor: enter in a web page from your site and the tool will tell you how "you" or "they" oriented your content is!

News Your Way

I just started using Google News and once again, they've done it better than anything I've ever seen (who ARE these people????) What Google News does is provide an ultra customizable interface for creating a news page online that has only and *exactly* what I care to know about. I can eliminate Sports - and add a news feed for virtual business, a favorite topic. I can tell it how many articles I want to see on the main page for each topic and what geographic areas I care about.

From information overload to disenfranchisement with the mass media, I could easily opt to hide from the world for weeks - but then again, I'd much rather just know what I want to know about (is the world ending?). If there is one thing I love about the web, it is personalization - and Google News is just what I'm talking about.

Because you CAN wear a t-shirt to work!

I've been really busy this past month hatching another idea I had - Home Biz Wear - the place to find fun work at home attire and merchandise celebrating the humor, perks and hidden benefits of working at home!

http://www.homebizwear.com

My goal is to make something for everyone in the work at home crowd - you'll find stuff for the work at home mom and dad, great designs for people working at home with kids and pets, and even something for the WAH environmentalists.

I'm just getting warmed up and always open to ideas. Right now, I'm working with royalty free cartoons that I purchased rights to - but if the market is there, I'll probably start doing my own illustrations.

There is so much to celebrate about the home office lifestyle and the very fact that we CAN work at home. So spread the joy ...and enjoy the shop!
